http://www.aworkofheart.com/2008calendar.pdf  Here is the link to our updated January and February calendar.  Notice we’ve added some new classes as well as repeated some of our well loved previous ones.

What is a CRAFT RAVE??

We’ve renamed our crop to have a more “all inclusive” feel.  So many people come in to work on other projects besides just scrapbooking.

Speaking of a Craft Rave, We’re having a 15 hour event on New Years Eve.  Monday the 31st starting at 10am through Tuesday the 1st at 1am.  You get your own table for the entire time or just drop in for a few hours.  We have make and takes planned and drawings.  Every hour you are here you will earn a raffle ticket.    Register soon to reserve your spot.

We’ve been having a totally relaxing time in Tahoe. We’re getting LOTS of sleep. Yesterday my husband, Livius took the kids sledding while Chris and I napped and knitted. Here are a couple of  cute picture of my oldest (Nic) and youngest (Emily) sledding.  These were taken post Hannah’s major wipe out which is why she isn’t in the picture.  Em & Nic.Husband, Emily and Nic

Livius, Nic & Hannah are skiing today while Chris, Emily and I go shopping in Carson City to help Santa with his stocking stuffers.

We’ll be back before you know it to have a BLOWOUT sale to make room for the rest of Chris’ warehouse in the store.

Our Art Lounge is set up with all the “tools of the trade” but not JUST for scrapbooking. We make cards, soldered glass slide mount charms, altered books, beeswax collage canvas, home decor with fantastic papers and so much more.Come and enjoy glue, paper and scissors as art therapy. Art for art’s sake without purpose.

You may have noticed we no longer hold “crops” here but have re-named them “craft raves”. Same thing, just appealing to a wider “market.” We don’t want anyone to feel like they don’t belong here. Whatever your craft, you are welcome to play along.

That is it for my rant of the moment.

In less than a week Christina and I will be traveling to Tahoe to enjoy a snowy Christmas. Chris and Eric have generously invited our family of 5 to join them in their timeshare at Heavenly Ski Resort. My kids are excited (an understatement) to say the least. This will be the first time in nearly 9 years we will have been away from home for Christmas.

What does this mean to you? Well, we’ve decided to close the store early on Friday, December 21st(at 5pm) and remain closed through Christmas Day. We will re-open at 2pm on Wednesday, December 26th for a HUGE after Christmas sale. Then it is business as usual. Never fear though, you can still purchase gift certificates and print them from home for your last minute needs. Simply visit the on-line store and you’ll find the gift certificate there.

Looking for a place to craft in the new year? We are planning our New Years Eve celebration to include an all day CRAFT RAVE (a.k.a. crop) on Monday the 31st (10am) on into the wee hours of Tuesday, January 1st 2008 (1am)

Join us for a reduced studio fee of $5/hour or reserve your spot for the whole time(15 hours) for $60. Bring some munchies to share and we’ll provide the drinks (even some bubbly to toast the new year) Call the studio at 408-266-1005 to reserve your spot.
