On August 31 Christina regrettably moved her San Jose store out of the Lincoln Avenue location and returned Scrap Lovers to an on-line only store.
It has been a wonderfully fulfilling 2 years. We formed a friendship that is still strong even though we won’t be spending every day together.
A Work of Heart Studio is still here! We are expanding into the space left by Scrap Lovers and will be offering even more classes with even more great teachers.
You can still get your walk-in shopping fix. A Work of Heart carries a fine selection of vintage finds from our flea market forays. Also, most of the classes taught have kits that can be purchased. Stop in and visit if you are in the San Jose area. AND we are building a handcrafted boutique. (sort of a physical “ETSY” shop)
Though this blog will no longer be active. Please check out our individual blogs.
You can follow the Scrap Lovers blog and keep informed on all the great products Christina carries in her on-line store.
You can follow the A Work of Heart blog to keep informed on all the events, classes, project kits, crafty flea market, make & take projects and more happening at 2196 Lincoln Avenue (95125)
Thanks for reading!

When I find a product that I love it just makes me happy! Snap Stories is one of those products. It’s fun, creative and most importantly easy to use! The fact that my friend Emma is the designer of these wonderful little books doesn’t influence me at all 😉 plus, Creative Imaginations is the company that manufactures the books which of course means they are top notch!
The great thing about these little book is that they really do go together in a snap! Check out this fun book that a friend put together – the family took a trip to the beach – the perfect subject for the One Big Adventure Snap Story album.
We have these great books in the store or you can order them online…there are four different themes! Watch for another post tomorrow that will show you how the same book can be used for a family vacation!!
Check out what they did with the AccuCut Books July 10, 2009Posted by scraplovers in Scrap Lovers at A Work of Heart.

The good news of the day is that Molly is eating enough to have had her feeding tube removed today.
Thank you all so much for your overwhelming love and support. She will be back at the studio very soon…perhaps even Tuesday!
Molly is home… July 5, 2009Posted by scraplovers in Scrap Lovers at A Work of Heart.
I just wanted to let everyone know that Andrea was able to pick Miss Molly up and bring here home yesterday. I had several text reports through out the evening and things are looking up!! She was happy and purring and from this picture you can see that she was doing the very, very best thing. Eating!!
Thanks once again for all of you continued support and kindness! We will keep posting updates of our girl here on the blog and in the newsletter

The last couple of days have been overflowing with kindness…we had no idea what would happen we shared the news about Molly and asked for your help – well what happened is that we have been overwhelmed with love and support!
Everyone has been so generous it is truly amazing….saying thank you doesn’t even seem to be enough – we have received envelopes in our mail slot, checks in the mail and quarters at the register. Not to mention all of the emails just wishing Molly well – you can’t believe how much this support means to us!! The kindness in our community is beyond imagine. It truly means the world to us!! So Thank you once again.
Several of you have brought in carriers – Thank you – we have what we think will be a pretty good home for her. A better home might be one of the wire cages so she has more of a view…but we can’t have one that is too big (since it has to fit in the studio somewhere) so if you happen to have one of those let us know. The ideal size would be 2 x 3 feet or so.
Molly remains in the pet hospital for another day or so….they are trying to get her to keep some food in her tummy…until that happens we can’t bring her home. She is being well taken care of and actually is seeming a bit annoyed about having to be there which is a good sign…it means she is getting some energy back.
We will post here and in the newsletter more news as we get it.
Your support is a real gift and we treasure it with all of our hearts…
Andrea, Christina and Molly!
p.s. if you put a envelope in the mail slot without your name we would really love to know who you are:)
A Raffle for Molly July 1, 2009Posted by Andrea in Scrap Lovers at A Work of Heart.

We could use your help! As many of you know our sweet girl Molly has been in the animal hospital for over a week now. She has a failing liver and although the prognosis has been up and down we are hoping that the worst is over. The hospital stay, the tests and the surgery to put in a feeding tube have added up very quickly and to help defray the costs (nearly $2k) we are having a raffle.
To participate all you need to do is come in and buy a ticket for a $1. All of the tickets that have been purchased will go in the “hat” and on July 14th we will pick the lucky winner.
The prize pack includes goodies from a variety of manufactures like Creative Imaginations, Tinkering Ink, Bazzill and more – in addition there will be a $20 gift certificate to the store and a $20 gift certificate to the studio. We are also going to toss in an Elva’s gift card so you can get a treat.
We would so appreciate any help that you can give us. We are also looking for a kennel that we can borrow for about a month since we will need to keep Miss Molly confined while we feed her through the feeding tube. Just give us call or email us if you can help on this front. To purchase a ticket stop by the store, give us call (408)266-1005 or send us an email. If you want to mail in a check to purchase the raffle ticket(s) send it to 2196 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose 95125.
We can’t thank you enough for helping out our Molly. Your prayers are appreciated.
Christina, Andrea & Molly

My quick trip to Texas July 1, 2009Posted by scraplovers in Scrap Lovers at A Work of Heart.
Oh boy did I have fun with Cheryl and Tim! I got inky hands and was able to play with metal what more can you ask for…
I did manage to snap a few pictures along the journey – my final project is in the mess of the packing so I will post that when I un-earth it!
